Synopsis

Jara-Tava: The Isle of Fire is a traditional graphic text adventure. Your recently deceased uncle has left you a map that supposedly shows the location of Captain Kidd's treasure, and has sent you on a journey to the remote South Sea islands of Jara-Mau and Jara-Tava. You must survive in the shark-infested waters and escape an impending volcanic eruption to recover the fabled treasure. As in most parser-driven games, commands are executed by simple inputs such as "inventory," "south," or "tie rope." The Amiga version also offers the option of using common commands by clicking the mouse. Despite the short playing time, there are several solutions to overcome the challenges, including four ways to travel between the islands and three ways to find the treasure.
