Synopsis

Part of the Fred's Back series, the game follows Fred, a waddling, head-shaped creature, as he navigates through each level. In every stage, Fred must collect all the diamonds and finish the level by reaching the right edge of the screen. Fred loses a life if his energy, which constantly decreases, drops to zero. To replenish his energy, Fred must collect food. Other dangers include touching randomly appearing monsters and falling into bottomless pits. The levels feature brick platforms that Fred can destroy with his head, as well as brown tiles that often release bonus items such as extra diamonds, extra lives, potions that fully refill his energy, and a weapon that allows Fred to shoot monsters.
