Synopsis
Ce jeu est la suite de 1942, avec un gemaplay assez similaire. Le joueur devra à nouveau se battre dans le ciel pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Cette bataille intense se déroule désormais au large des îles Midway.
Les améliorations apportées au gameplay comprennent une barre d'énergie, qui peut être épuisée en étant touché par des tirs ou en utilisant une arme spéciale. La barre d'énergie peut être réapprovisionnée en ramassant des bonus. Des armes spéciales (éclairs, cyclones et vagues) auront quant à elles un force de destruction assez conséquente.
